About me
I began studying Fine Art at the Slade School of Fine Art, graduating with a First Class Honours. Here I developed a keen critical eye and a desire to develop my technical abilities.
I then worked as as a carpenter and joiner, on projects ranging from large scale first fix carpentry to bespoke domestic storage. I wanted to develop my hand-craft skills further, so began a BA in Woodcarving and Gilding at City and Guilds of London Art School. Here I developed an understanding of historical styles and techniques involved in the design and execution of lettering and woodcarvings.
During my woodcarving studies, I also worked as a tutor to adult learners at Blackhorse Workshop in Walthamstow. Here, I developed and delivered courses in basic joinery and carpentry.
I am beginning an exciting career in making and educating. I am eager to take on new projects whether big, small ambitious or straightforward .
